Unlike small breed puppies, large breed puppies can benefit from less energy and calcium. Controlled growth of a large breed puppy is very important since rapid growth could potentially lead to health problems in later life. By reducing the amount of calories and calcium, large breed puppies can grow in a more controlled manner and help support a more stable growth pattern.

The following ranges should be used as a starting point. Daily requirements can change depending on activity levels, breed, environment, etc. Supplementation not required. A seven day gradual transition is recommended when first feeding this formula.

Weaning and Growth of Puppies – For the weaning of puppies, moisten food and keep available at all times. During the growth of a puppy, maintain a regular feeding schedule using care not to overfeed. This formula is not recommended for pregnant or nursing dogs due to the lower nutrient levels specifically designed for medium and large breed puppies.
